Nestled in the charming hamlet of Blackden, this barn conversion involved a complete transformation. We removed the original roof, raised the height of the existing wall plate, refreshed the façade with Cheshire brick, and installed a stunning new staircase.

 

The result is an annex-style addition to the existing home, featuring two additional bedrooms, two bathrooms, a ground-floor living space with a kitchenette, and its own private entrance.

 

Traditional clay tiles were used to complement the Cheshire brick, while hardwood timber doors, windows, barn-style sliding doors, and a metal-railing Juliet balcony enhance the property's rustic charm. Rooflights were incorporated to flood the vaulted bedrooms with natural light, and large picture windows were added to the rear of the barn to frame the surrounding views.
