Starth
Set against the stunning backdrop of the Cheshire countryside, this new build bungalow was designed as the perfect retirement home for a local farmer. With breathtaking views over the surrounding landscape, the brief was to create a spacious and comfortable home that blends traditional design with modern functionality.
The large detached bungalow offers nearly 2,000 square feet of ground-floor living space, including a luxurious master suite on the first floor, which enjoys panoramic views over the countryside. Designed by the renowned James Bell Architecture, the property features a traditional aesthetic with handmade brick, stone cills, and a brick plinth, complemented by the sleek, contemporary finish of Origin aluminium windows and doors.
A key element of the design is the use of steel beams to create expansive open-plan living spaces. The home also boasts a traditional cut roof finished with beautiful Spanish slate, enhancing its farmhouse charm.
This project was completed in two phases: Shell and Fit-Out. PMP are thrilled to have been re-appointed for the fit-out phase, where we will install a full underfloor heating system, a bespoke hand-painted kitchen in collaboration with Puddle Duck Kitchens, and the fit-out of four bathrooms across the property.
This project seamlessly marries tradition with modern living, creating a home that is both timeless and functional.
